Leading North East technical recruitment consultancy firm, Jackson Hogg, is continuing a successful period of growth by appointing a talented graduate to its research department.
Jess Priest, 22, who graduated from Newcastle University’s Accounting and Finance course last summer, applied to Jackson Hogg on the recommendation of a close friend, who also works in recruitment.
Jess said: “After studying Accountancy and Finance, I realised that I wanted to work in a people-focussed business, and my best friend asked if I’d considered recruitment. I chose to apply to Jackson Hogg because it’s known for its fantastic reputation in the industry.”
As a recruitment specialist in the engineering, manufacturing and technology sectors, Jackson Hogg works with many firms in the UK, Europe and the USA to find individuals for high-level roles and senior positions.
In a highly competitive market, there is a need for companies to have a far more targeted approach to finding passive candidates. The research department, in which Jess works, uses highly-developed research and mapping skills to gather intelligence and collate information about the people, organisations and markets in which companies compete for talent.
Richard Hogg, Managing Director at Jackson Hogg, said: “We’ve had a fantastic couple of years in terms of our growth, not only increasing our staff at our headquarters in Newcastle, but also expanding our offering in Germany and North America.
“I’m delighted to welcome Jess to the team and am incredibly pleased that Jackson Hogg is able to start the career of such a talented graduate, and for other graduates who are looking to break into recruitment to know that our door is always open.”
Jess joined the firm in early December and has already had success in identifying high quality talented candidates for our clients, who have now been placed.
Jess added: “I’d like to say thank you to the team at Jackson Hogg for being so supportive, and I would highly recommend a career in recruitment to anyone. It’s so rewarding every time you find out that someone you put forward has been offered the job. You’ve changed someone’s life, and you just can’t beat that feeling.”
