Specialist digital marketing agency Evolved Search has set out ambitious growth plans for the next three years ahead of celebrating its fifth birthday next month.
Following a successful 12 months, the agency is on track for a 70% increase in revenue on last year and to hit the £2 million mark by the end of 2019, while the team has grown by another 10 members of staff to take the overall headcount to 31.
Evolved Search, based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, has set targets to increase revenue by 270% by August 2022, creating an extra 45 jobs in the process, with the long-term aim of employing over 100 people within the next five years.
The agency has strengthened its management structure to prepare for the growth, appointing Ian McIntosh as Managing Director and fellow co-founder David Watts as Digital Innovations Director, while Tom Etherington has moved to Operations Director. John Ridley has also been promoted to Head of Content & Outreach.
The new roles will provide an increased focus on service proposition and delivery, as well as career progression and development, with Etherington overseeing the SEO and PPC marketing departments, and Watts taking the lead on research and innovation in a bid to keep the agency at the top of its game.
Ian McIntosh, Managing Director, said: “We’ve had a fantastic five years of trading and our growth over the past two years has shown that our specialist service offering is something that businesses are very keen to utilise.
“In the past year, we’ve won work from household brands and picked up industry awards for our campaigns. It’s been great to reflect on our successes, redefine our growth plans, and outline our vision, and we’re all excited about what the future holds.”
David Watts, Digital Innovations Director, added: “When we started Evolved in 2014, we knew we wanted to offer something that broke the mould in terms of our offering to clients. We’ve certainly been able to achieve some great things so far and it’s going to be really exciting to develop our service and continue providing industry-leading work to our clients.”
Evolved recently won this year’s ‘Best B2C Campaign’ at the UK Search Awards, ‘Search Campaign of the Year’ at the UK eCommerce Awards, and ‘Best Finance Campaign’ at the UK Content Awards.
Tom Etherington, Operations Director, added: “The plans that we’ve set out will enable us to bring in more specialist members of staff and provide career opportunities to those just getting started in digital marketing.
“Our top priorities are to deliver great results for clients and make Evolved a great place to work. The culture initiatives, benefits, and learning and development plans that we’ve introduced mean that our people have the best opportunities and can get out as much as they put in.”
The company offers a pension scheme, premium private health insurance, flexible working hours, and regular social activities, including a trip to Amsterdam and Edinburgh recently.
