Celebrating a successful launch, North East HR has scooped half a dozen prestigious new accounts in as many months.

Highly respected HR professional Lindsay Muers headed home to Newcastle to bring her big business HR expertise to the North East, with the launch of consultancy: North East HR Limited.

Just six months since launching the business, North East HR Ltd has already delivered a range of expertise to organisations including: Northumbrian Fine Foods; George F White; and Durham Tees Valley Community Rehabilitation Company.

Offering practical solutions for all aspects of HR: from strategic projects and introductory HR services, through to coaching, mentoring, training and people development, North East HR’s projects over its first six months have been varied.

The scope for one client involves helping the rapidly expanding 200-strong business to manage growth. Lindsay has worked closely with the finance director on the team’s structure, refining role descriptions and clarifying responsibilities.

Lindsay’s in-depth experience of MBTI personality preference tool has proved invaluable for the business, helping this team to understand themselves and their colleagues well so they can work together effectively and develop communication, leadership and diversity.

Having spent the last 20 years travelling the country in a number of high level HR roles for major organisations like the Co-Op and Farmcare, Lindsay’s unique approach brings warmth and dynamism to helping local businesses, large and small, handle their people issues. Another client has called on North East HR to act as an HR mentor to the operations director and HR manager, supporting delivery of solutions to issues the business had been experiencing and developing strategic projects including the People Plan to ensure the business achieves its overall goals.

Yet another client project sees North East HR supporting the senior leadership team on a development programme to increase accountability and change styles from manager to leader. In this instance, Lindsay developed a two-day workshop that concentrates on performance management, whilst also developing soft and practical skills, including: difficult conversations, performance improvement and tenacity.
